Lantern Night is among Bryn Mawr's most cherished traditions. Freshwomen gather in the cloisters where the sophomores will present them with their lanterns in their class color or the McBride color of purple. Lantern Night marks the passing of knowledge from one class to the other and welcomes freshwomen into the academic community.The second step sing of the the year follows the ceremony.
