Ballet, modern, funk, African, hip-hop—the Spring Dance Concert has it all. Over 30 Bryn Mawr and Haverford dancers will take to the stage in Goodhart Theater on April 26 and 27 to perform dance works by Bryn Mawr dance faculty and noted Philadelphia dance artists.
Once again, student dancers will be performing in the works of critically noted resident and guest choreographers including: Dinita Askew, dancer and former rehearsal master with Rennie Harris Puremovement and co-founder of Funky Sole Fundamentals; Madeline Cantor, Associate Director of the Dance Program; Nia Eubanks-Dixon, who danced with Urban Bush Women and the Chuck Davis African American Dance Ensemble; Megan Mazarick, a Live Arts LAB fellow whose work has been presented in the US and abroad; Shannon Murphy, co-director of IdiosynCrazy Productions and a Live Arts LAB fellow, and Meredith Rainey, formerly of Pennsylvania Ballet and Ballet X and Director of Carbon Dance Theatre.
